Chinese Music Atlas is an English-language knowledge site about traditional Chinese music. It is written for readers who are curious about the music but are not specialists: people who want to know what an instrument is, why it sounds the way it does, or how to begin listening.

What the site is built on

The core asset is not a pile of articles. It is a set of verified knowledge entries - instruments, techniques, concepts, pieces and cultural contexts - together with the explained relationships between them and the sources that support each claim. Articles are one way of presenting that knowledge, not a replacement for it.

What it deliberately is not

Status

This is an early version, published at www.chinesemusicatlas.com. The knowledge base currently covers a small, carefully verified first slice. Coverage will grow only after that slice has been reviewed.

Contact

A contact address has not been published yet. Until one is, corrections and source queries are best raised on the page of the entry they concern.
